Subject: Query on Inducement to Breach Contract

All,

I'd be interested in views on whether it is possible in principle to
sue a party for inducement to breach a contract, without suing the
contract breaker (say because one wanted to preserve a relationship
with the contract breaker). Would there be any practical impediment to
such a course?

Clearly, the defendant (alleged inducer to breach of contract) could
always join the alleged contract breaker, if they chose but that is a
separate issue.

Comments and case references especially welcome.

Thanks

Ger
